For those unaware of the significance, Every Frame a Painting was a 29 episode video essay series released between 2014 and 2016 on youtube.

The channel was widely regarded as one of the best technical analysis of the cinematic/film creative process, and was dormant since 2016 though still boasts over 2 million subscribers and growing.

They recently started releasing new content to the youtube channel preceding an impending short film release from channel creators.

Back after a nearly 8 year hiatus; I did a proper double-take yesterday evening when I saw a new video pop up in my feed!

The video-essays on Buster Keaton and Edgar Wright are absolutely essential viewing for anyone who considers themselves even a passing fan of Comedy.

I'd also highly recommend 'The Bad Sleep Well (1960) - The Geometry of a Scene' and 'Akira Kurosawa - Composing Movement' as hugely insightful pieces that will equip you with a whole new appreciation for cinematography and composition.

Wow! I didn't know Every Frame a Painting was releasing new videos. Along with Extra Credits, it must be one of the most entertaining channels on the analysis of media production.
