When and how will all this madness end?

Why aren’t those who swore an oath to protect the country and constitution doing next to nothing (that we know of)?

For the people who don't read past the headline, this measure doesn't literally crown Trump king, it metaphorically does so by making it illegal for any court to enforce contempt citations against him:

    “No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation 
    for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security 
    was given when the injunction or order was issued …”
The purpose of this is obviously to allow Trump to continue to ignore court injunctions against him without the possibility of meaningful consequence.
