This title is incorrect. It's why GIPR agonists and antagonists lead to weight loss. GLP-1R may be involved, but these papers are about GIPR.

Also, pedantic side note, in this instance, the hormone (GLP-1, GIP) are not the things being drugged, but rather their receptors are (GLP-1R, GIPR). Therefore the terminology is incorrect, it should be GLP-1R agonist/antagonist (except that as mentioned, that's also incorrect because wrong protein).
