It’s like comparing a Ferrari to a Model T Ford.
It is a tangent (in litght of the article topic) but for most applications that I can imagine I would rather have the Model T. When I went into my flight training (just recreational) I imagined zooming around in aerobatic airplanes. When I started flying I actually much preferred "low and slow". It might not be everyone's experience but cheap and easy has since been something I enjoy more.
