When we think that the main role of the CEO is to weigh up conflicting information and make a decision based on risk / reward, it becomes obvious that it is the role most suited for AI disintermediation. All that will be left will be 'culture building', hence the concurrent CEO-driven call to 'return to the office'
Amazing how much resources are thrown at AI projects these days. Worth it, considering the capabilities developed?
But in the case of AI replacing CEOs: could be very cost effective. :-)
Surprising self awareness.
Nearly half of CEOs — 49% — say AI could effectively replace “most,” or even “all,” of their own roles, and 47% say it might even be a good thing.
